Elsje has spent the past 20 years in education, with the last 10 focused on education management. She is deeply passionate about progressive, holistic education, and is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love for learning in children. Elsje firmly believes that every child deserves to be in a school environment where they feel seen, safe, happy and empowered. She advocates that when children feel respected, cared for, and secure, their brain and nervous system are in the optimal state for learning, exploration, and knowledge retention.
Tamika Milho is a dedicated special needs educator with a diploma in special needs teaching. In addition to her diploma she has completed comprehensive courses in handling disabilities. This variety of training has provided her with a deep understanding of the most effective teaching methods for children with ASD.
With hands-on experience in specialised teaching techniques, Tamika is well-versed in approaches such as TEACCH and ABA. TEACCH focuses on structured environments and visual information processing, while ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) emphasises understanding and modifying behaviours.
Passionate about innovation in education, Tamika continually seeks new ways to engage and support students, ensuring each child reaches their full potential in a nurturing and structured learning environment.
Lucille has decades of experience in finance, legal, HR and administration duties. She is a warm and welcoming person and we are blessed to have her on our team!
Sunita is starting with us from April this year. She holds a B.Ed. degree with one of her specialisation subjects being Special Educational Needs.
She taught in the UK for a number of years in a Special Educational Needs unit, and was a SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) at a top primary school.
This gave her the opportunity to work with, and learned from, a diversity of special educational needs, methods, techniques and strategies.
Sunita feels that having her own two children constantly keeps her humble. They inspire her to stay a life-long learner. Sunita is passionate about the field of special needs education that is constantly improving and adapting. It makes her excited to enquire, adapt and stay on top of new methods and curricula to help our ASD community.

V has many years of special needs training and assistant teaching experience under her belt. She worked at Dagbreek as a teacher assistant before joining us at NeuroNexus. V's warmth, patience and gentle way makes her a beloved safe person for all of the children.
Amory is an ardent teacher with a diploma in special needs education. She has also completed several comprehensive courses in handling disabilities in the classroom. She is deeply passionate about working with children with special needs. With over three years of experience in the field, she has completed various courses in special needs training, as well as specialised training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. She is also furthering her studies via distance learning in a Bachelors in Foundation phase teaching, specialising in Special Needs Education.
Amory is certified in First Aid and Fire Safety. She brings a lot of heart and warmth to the classroom. The children adore her.
Nadia has done many courses in working with children with ASD. She is a motivated and passionate individual who has a deep love for this work and brings a lot of joy and momentum into the classroom. Nadia is busy with her diploma in Early Childhood and Pre-Primary education.
Daniel has completed his Honours in Psychology and is busy completing his Honours in Education Degree. Dan aspires to be a an Educational Pscychologist to further his passion for working with special needs children. The wisdom, calm, patience and insights that he brings to our little school is invaluable.
Hilma is a gentle soul who acts as a teacher aid for the children who need her. She also washes up and cleans once school is over.
